It's been two months since Kalisto and I got married. And today I planned to visit someone that is very important to me.
We walked across the grass with a basket of flowers in Kalisto's hand. He's holding my hand as we walk towards Philos' grave. I asked him to bring me to Philos for me to break the news to him.
I know Philos is finally happy along with our children that I found someone I'm willing to spend my life with and that I don't sulk too much anymore. But as we are on our way I stood frozen on my tracks when I saw a familiar figure that stood in front of Philos' grave.
Gripping the small bouquet of flowers near my chest, I started to bite the insides of my cheeks as I tried to stop the urge of rolling my eyes. White Ecuadorian roses were all over the place and butterflies flying around the garden and the white silk dangling at the gazebo’s ceiling and archway dances as the wind sways it.
"How about this fabric, Ms. Sanchez?" My assistant showed me another fabric for our next commissioned project. I touched the fabric she was showing me as I looked at the pattern and the design at hand. Meticulously checking the fabrics and making sure it will be worth every penny the client paid.
The wind kept on blowing my hair and at the same time flashing lights were bouncing off everywhere. His hands were firmly holding me near him and I couldn't help but feel awkward with our position. I can feel his warmth by just his hand and it makes me uncomfortable for some reason."Miss Sanchez, please relax a little. You look stiff,” puna ng photographer sa akin. I heaved a deep breath to relax myself. Composing myself and doing the poses the photographer instructed us. Eventually I get to go along with Kalisto’s pace and poses.I felt that the firm arm around my waist tighten. An unexplainable surge of tingling electric like sensation crept up my spine by his touch. I looked up at him and saw his eyes focused on the camera. Wearing a flowy t
I yelped when someone hugged me from behind, his warm breath in between my neck and shoulders made me giggle as he showered me with kisses. "Philos!" I squealed as his hug tightened and his kisses continued. After a month of being away from me, I can finally feel his warm arms around me, caressing me softly, raining me kisses, and pulling me closer to his arms.
Hindi ako mapakali habang papalapit na kami nang papalapit sa ob-gyne. Marahil ay nahalata ni Philos ang kaba ko kaya't hinawakan niya ang nanlalamig kong kamay. "It's okay, cariño," he assured me. I smiled at him and squeezed his hand back. "I'm fine, love."
I ran to the bathroom and threw up water. I felt a hand holding my hair up for me and another hand that caressed my back as I continued to throw up. My morning sickness is getting worse day by day. It was the only reason why I get up in bed. After throwing up, Philos carried my weak body and brought me back to bed. Hindi ko maidilat ang mga mata ko dahil pakiramdam ko ay umiikot lamang ang aking paningin. Naramdaman ko ang paghagod niya sa aking buhok. "Cariño, what do you want to eat right now? I'll cook it for you. You should eat, cariño."
Naalimpungatan ako nang maramdamang wala si Philos sa aking tabi. It's unusual for him to wake up this early. I got used to waking up with his handsome face greeting me in the morning. I gathered the blanket up to my chest to cover my bare body.
Hinawakan ni Philos ang kamay ko at hinalikan ito nang huminto kami sa harapan ng gate ng tahanan nila. I can't even call it a simple house. It was a mansion. You can see the grandeur of it from outside. "Don't be scared, Leigh. I'm here." Muli niyang hinalikan ang kamay ko.
