CHAPTER 40: The Misunderstanding

How come... no one else is bringing up the fact that Ezekiel was cheating on me throughout our married life.

I looked up at the sky. It was about to rain in a few seconds.

I silently walked alongside Ezekiel towards the parking lot of the cemetery where the car, along with Kuya Pier, was parked.

"Hold my hand," he commanded, extending his hand towards me.

I didn't look at him, losing interest in even glancing at him. But I still followed his request. I loosely held his hand, unlike before. I only maintained the grip when he forcefully tightened it.

"What did Mother tell you earlier before I came back?" he coldly asked.

"Nothing." I laughed bitterly, my gaze lost in emptiness. "She just blamed me for Uncle Ross's death."

"Tsk!" he grumbled in frustration. "Don't let her words get through to you. She's talking nonsense."

"If that's the case, isn't it true?"

"Of course not—"
