CHAPTER 75: Comatose

"PAPAAA!" Duziell's deafening scream greeted Ezekiel as soon as he stepped through the mansion's door.

He saw him break free from Haleanna's arms and take small steps towards him.

He quickly picked him up and embraced him tightly, still covered in chocolate stains on his lips.

"Where's mama?" he asked angrily, his voice filled with concern.

His lifeless eyes brightened a little as he stared at their son. His heavy chest finally breathed a little more comfortably. He wiped off the traces of chocolate at the corner of Duziell's lips.

"Did you eat chocolate?" he asked softly, the redness and swelling of his eyes still evident.

"Yes!" Duziell, being too young to notice his father's current state, replied. "I ate a looot of ccocolate!"

"Too much sweets is bad for your teeth. I won't allow it anymore if one day you suddenly experience a toothache," he said, his voice slow and hoarse.

"But I never had cocolate before!"

"It's chocolate, not cocolate. Say it."

"Cocolate! It's cocolate!" Duziel
