Cassy was filled with wrath when she wasn't able to get Brynlee out of the pack that day. Her plan was going perfectly well yet that wench of a servant had to break the news of the Alpha's injury at that same time!

Since that day after the incident, Cassy had been avoiding Maverick. She thought Brynlee might have told him everything about what she told her, including the fake pregnancy.
