CARLY'S POV

The moment I stepped out of the bathroom on my towel, I saw Alessandro seated on my bed with his legs crossed like he owns the place.

"You're late." He said without even looking in my direction.

"I'm sorry, I lost track of time." I said still rooted in the ground.

"What were you doing the whole day?" He asked as he stood on his feet and walked towards me.

"Noth…noth… nothing." I stuttered.

He gave this I know you're lying look, and I won't deny I felt a little scared.

I didn't know what to expect.

"Your sister came today." He said as he took two steps away from me. "Get dressed I'll be waiting for you downstairs." He added immediately like the first sentence wasn't important.

Turning his back to me, he said, "And wear something nice."

I nodded and he left.

The moment he did, I quickly walked towards the wardrobe, searching for the perfect night dress.
