Alvina jumped off the ground, noticing that she was in an unknown place. She quickly scanned around to see where she was.

“Where am I?” Alvina mumbled as her heart pounded heavily inside her chest. No sooner had she woke up, she discovered that she was wearing an armored tunic.

She lowered her gaze to her waist and she found a sword hanging on its left side. On the right side was a small bag fastened on her waist. The small bag contained the small, smooth stone that was given to her by Jada.

As she was about to check what was in the small bag, she heard footsteps approaching her from an unknown destination.

With fear, She held the haft of her sword so tight as she began to turn around to see where the footsteps were coming from.

Alvina could hear the footsteps, but she didn't see anything close by. They were neither coming from behind, by the side, nor opposite her.

The forest was thick and dark because the sky was pregnant, which couldn't allow the moon to shine brightly on the land.
