SPECIAL CHAPTER: A Fragment of Othello's History 2/2

It took many months before Chaol finally learned the little boy's name. He let him stay inside his castle but the other inhabitants weren't too happy about it.

"Othello!" the garden yelled from afar, holding the rake in his hands.

Othello emerged from behind the shed, with his head lowered to the ground. He scratched the back of his nape and made the 'tsk' sound.

"Come here, boy." the gardener invited him.

But Othello knew well that he wasn't going to be very friendly with him. He had broken the shovel of the gardener a few days ago and hid it behind the bushes.

"Othello." the gardener bellowed at him. "Would you care to explain what the hell is this?" he showed him the two broken pieces of the shovel in his hands. "How in the goddamn world did this break, Othello?"

The shovel was snapped into two.

"I didn't do it." he lied to him.

"Your face says it all." the gardener hissed at him. "Why do you have to lie, goddamn it?"
