I turned to discover that the strong hands that held onto me which prevented the fall belonged to Luciano. I couldn't believe my eyes, he was that last person I expected to see right now.

How the hell do I say thank you to this man for preventing my fall? I thought to myself. “What if I don't?” I whispered to myself. “That's the best solution here. After all, I do not intend to speak to him. At least not yet”.

I wiggled myself out of his grip and ran up the stairs. I was more careful this time to avoid another fall. I had a strong urge to look back and see the look on his face but I decided against it.
