He started to unpack the car with the things they had bought to get through the night at the new house. Nathan managed to do more than he thought he would be able to despite the time frame he was given. Everything was in his name already, and he had listed her as a secondary contact. He had forgotten how things worked when people heard his name. It was one thing to have famous parents, but this time it worked in his favor. That didn’t happen often.

He had his hands full when he felt his phone go off, and the ring tone he was dreading was there playing. He nearly dropped the items in his arms right in the front hallway, but instead, he took a deep breath and continued. He knew he would have to face the music sooner or later. In this case, he wanted it to be later.

The phone rang again after going to voice mail. He put the things down and took his phone out. He knew it wasn’t going to stop or go away. It was time to face the music.
