Janet then went to the kitchen to instruct the cook to prepare the couple's favorite dishes. Quentin's expression hardened. Janet was his biological mother, yet she treated him as if he was her enemy.

Fred huffed, "Good call, you little rascal!" He then softened his tone and walked over to the chessboard. "Elle, come play a game of chess with your ol' Gramps!" Noelle walked over, sat across from him, and focused on playing chess with Fred.
