"Go follow your fate and you may get the salvation you seek, boy," the little girl with a black skirt said to Henry.
When the Earth and the Sky didn't accept the poor soul anymore when the boy had no idea why the world hated him so much.
The boy was lost, losing his memories about his past life and why he couldn't reincarnate to the next life.
He only knew his name, Henry.
He wasn't even sure how old he was when he died.
He was a ghost, he had no shadows. He had nobody.
He walked and walked, endless.
Darkness followed him, clueless and deafening.
Help. No one.
No answer.
He hoped the grim reaper would come and get his soul, the destiny to the afterworld was so much better than being a lowly ghost.
"You're not in our list," one of them used to say, even the angel of death couldn't help him. Not even when he surrendered himself to them.
Not acceptable.
He couldn't eat, he couldn't smell or touch anything.
He lived in a living hell.
Lonely. In a pit full of loneliness.
Nobody noticed him, nobody listened to his cries.
"Are you an angel?" he asked the little girl who took him to the neighbourhood. The little girl smiled, a soft smile as if she could finish all of his problems.
"I'm not."
"I can't help or save you," she said, oddly Henry knew this girl wasn't the answer he sought.
"But I can lead you to someone who can help you go through this and perhaps getting an answer along the way."
He had met a grim reaper, another ghost, even a demon but this girl gave an odd vibe. He felt she was leading him to the right path, something he desperately tried to find.
"I'm just helping you find the end of your lost thread," she added, "follow your heart and you may get the answer."
Before Henry could ask more, the girl vanished right before the boy's eyes.
Maybe she was what people called deities.
The jawline looked sharp from the side where Tania was standing, she stared at the man she didn't recognize. For a moment Tania thought the young man was crying and venting. The sadness was crystal clear when he was engraving words on the narrow alley wall.Tania watched the corner of the stranger's lips lifted, a bitter smile on his face as the tip of the screwdriver touched the wall and engraved words. The man's hand continued to thicken the engraving as if he wanted the writing to penetrate the wall and never disappear.Krit kritThe sound made teeth ache, Tania suddenly remembered the words of Mrs Fania; people around here continued to complain abo
Just if the man wasn't a ghost.Tania would be delighted to meet him and let him follow her down to the aisle.Tall, handsome, just really fit the type that Tania likes, there was no man as handsome as the ghost at Tania's school.Even the seniors who were popular at school were less handsome. Not to mention the voice he had was heavy and deep, a bit hoarse, just great. It could be said that God gave another answer because the ghost still followed Tania casually to the exhibition building, "You like books?"Tania sighed and nodded, at least she wasn't alone walking around in the big book bazaar.Curse them
The trip to Tania's house turned out to be quite far.Henry thought she lived around the compound where they met this afternoon but she didn't.'I'm not one of those rich people, Henry. So don't expect this girl to invite you to a big pretty house.'The station she was going to was far from the station near the complex. It was only natural that he had seen Tania's face for the first time even though he had been wandering around the complex for quite a while."I was going to take my friend," answered Tania when Henry asked why she was around the complex."But, well," Tania's face looked sad even as
Tania's father confirmed that they heard correctly.Henry is not dead and he is still alive, "your body is still alive somewhere."Tania's father returned to his original position. His spiritual energy also returned to a normal human's energy in a split second. For a mortal to be able to manipulate and control his power like that, it was a thing Henry never expected to witness."The little girl you mentioned, she left a small message by protecting you, and from what I read about your soul colour," the older man snapped his finger, "you're still alive, dead spirit doesn't have energy colour like yours."So
Hurt...I can't breathe!Henry's throat felt suffocated, he kicked and reached but he couldn't touch anything. His legs kicked as hard as he could. He gasped, trying to take as much oxygen. There was only water that drowned him.Pitch black water. The water was cold, freezing, his hands started to go limp and his legs stopped kicking.Numb...He blinked several times, only darkness greeted him.
“Don’t look into their eyes,” John said, pulling Tania’s hand as they walked on the quiet street. It was her seventh birthday when her father took her to a small bookstore. She wanted to buy a new sketchbook.“But Papa,” she tugged at his hand, “the old lady was hurting.”John smiled softly, lifting the little girl into his embrace as he continued walking.“The old lady isn’t someone you can help, dear,” he said, “not yet.”Tania hummed, looking at the old lady who stood alone under the streetlamp as if she was searching for something.“The old lady is searching for somethin
Tania's school was quite close. They only need to walk about ten to fifteen minutes from her house. Tania started getting ready from six o'clock sharp.Margaretta was the first to go downstairs usually, preparing breakfast, hot water to put in a thermos and brewing black coffee with a spoonful of sugar for John.Tania took a quick shower.Henry watched Margaretta prepare breakfast for her family members while Tania took a bath. After bathing, she immediately put on her shoes and ate her breakfast while watching videos. At around fifteen minutes to seven, Tania said goodbye.Henry, of course, chose to come along, rather than staying in the bedroom.
It took about twenty-five minutes or maybe thirty minutes on the bus to get to the destination because of the traffic jams, whereas usually it only takes fifteen to twenty minutes.Tania went down first followed by Henry.Henry looked at the road to the house's complex hoping that maybe a few memories would come back if he paid close attention to the area.Maybe he used to live here, otherwise, why was he stuck in this area for so long?"This is it," Tania stopped in front of the narrow alley, where Henry had first met her.Henry walked in, the shadow of the wall blocking the scorching sun.Sweat was already on Tania's forehead while the hot sun didn't affe
