I’m so happy that I chose the Ferris wheel to ask Maeve to marry me. I knew the minute she realized where we were going that it was the right choice. Her excitement was contagious. When we move to get on the Ferris wheel, I pass the guy some money and tell him that I’m proposing to my girl at the top and can he stop the wheel for just a couple of minutes when we get there. When a girl dreams of the perfect engagement, she dreams of the night that Xander just gave me. Or at least, I did. I got the perfect dinner, with the perfect ring, given to me at the perfect place by the most incredible, perfect man in existence. I could have stayed between Maeve’s thighs for the rest of my life. Her sweet taste, her mewls and moans of pleasure and the sound of her screaming my name made me find my own release more than once. I take Tate’s hand and pull him behind me as we move quietly through the night. Two days ago, when we were moving to the next hotel, I saw them. The Whitmore brothers. I had intended to head back to the city after Emlyn killed Gwen, but Rich said there was a meeting the next morning and he wanted me to stay, just in case. When I called Maeve, I got her voicemail. Later that night, I heard from my father about what had happened. I was nearly out the door then, but he said that he, my mother and Jesse were staying at the penthouse and would keep Maeve safe.
