“Just relax, ma’am,” Carlos told her as they walked down to the car. “People are always creating rumors about him, even his employees unfortunately.”

“It’s fine,” she said, but it was obviously not fine at all. “Let’s go home. I shouldn’t have come here in the first place.”

Carlos sighed. If only his boss had answered her call or if he had been honest about where he was. He loved and respected his boss, but sometimes Xavier did stupid things.

Just before he could start the car, his phone beeped in his pocket. He picked it up and saw it was a message from Xavier.
