Minutes passed, probably hours. Bella slowly started to calm down. The fear inside her chest started to dull. Damon held her close, keeping her in his arms, not doing anything, not saying anything, he just held her close.
Once Bella was sure that she was not going to freak out and run, she started to straighten and get off his lap. His arms tightened, refusing to let her get away.
"Damon." Bella murmured softly, "I am okay."
His eyes dropped low to come upon her. The monster inside him had retracted, now only Damon's human part was there and honestly, she was kind of relieved, she did not think she would ever have been able to face his wolf right now.
