We removed the lid of the square box Xyn had given me and inside lay an exquisite amethyst jewellery set embedded in sterling silver, with matching earrings and bracelet. The amethysts sparkled under the pale light of the car and I was mesmerised.

"It's very beautiful, thank you," I stole a glance at him and he was watching me with a satisfied smile.

"This is from mom, it must be a family heirloom. Instead of giving it to you herself, she went through me. She wanted her son to be alleviated in your eyes," he amusedly hummed and I was shocked.
