Chapter Fifty-Four

Within a matter of ten minutes, all of the woman and children were safely hiding in the basement, while I stood with Thomas and all of the fighters waiting for my call. Going into this, I thought I would be absolutely, terrified standing here about to set off but to not even have Asher beside me. But perhaps it was because I knew what I was doing or, they had taken Asher from me, but I was more than ready to make each and every one of those disgusting monsters pay for everything they had done to so many people.
