Chapter Forty-Six

After even more hours of agonising training with Asher, the sun began to rise and he told me it was the end of training today but we definitely, will continue tomorrow so I can better my skills even more.

Asher was nervous at first to act as though he was going to hit me, but I kept repeating that it was all to help me in the long run and if him hitting me stops a vampire from doing so, I will take it. I managed to dodge quite a few to my surprise, but there would be the odd hit to my side from Asher, where he would immediately, stop and check if I was okay.

By the end, I was actually getting the hang of sensing when and where his next hit would come from. I was still lost after our training session before, the amount of strength not just physically, but mentally that I would need to be able to fight in this war seemed untouchable for me. But after today and the progress that I was able to make, I could see that if I keep on the same pace as I am now, I’ll be more than ready to fight
