Chapter 152 - Desert Man

Blue light appeared in the sky pushing away the darkness, announcing the new day dawning. A new day, a new beginning.

But for Jade, being fully immersed in sadness, felt like being stuck in darkness. Never realized the light of the day again.

It's been a week since Luke's funeral.

The death of Luke created a huge hole in Jade's heart. And she didn't know how to patch that empty space in her life.

"Good morning, mommy," Timothy greeted her. He had been sleeping in her room since the death of Luke.

"Good morning, darling," Jade smiled but it didn't touch her eyes. The glum in her eyes couldn't be dispelled even with her son's bright smile.

Jade sat up and checked the time. The digital clock sitting on the bedside table indicated that it's already seven in the morning. "Have a shower, mommy will send you to school."

"Really?" Timothy was so happy that he couldn't believe what he heard.

Jade had been locking herself for the whole week.
