Chapter 47- Acting Strangely

Luke remained silent and chose not to make things harder for Jade.

"Can we go now, it's getting late and I'm famished," Jade sounded coquettish.

She was left with no choice to make the tense atmosphere relax, hence, she resorted speaking to him in such a coquettish manner in hope to pour cold water over Tyler's burning anger.

At the restaurant, Tyler had been attentive towards Jade the whole time. He would put food on Jade’s plate, pour water in her glass and sometimes would wipe the corner of Jade’s mouth even if there was nothing to wipe.

Jade’s cheeks were suffused with color the entire time Tyler devoted his time attending to her needs.

All the time that Tyler was trying to rile up Luke, he kept his cool and didn’t want to misbehave in front of Jade.

"I'm fine, Tyler. You haven't touched your food, you should eat now," Jade held Tyler's arm when he was about to put more food on her plate.
