Auster's Decision I

I never expected to gasp as soon as he said those words, but I did. Before I could say anything else, I noticed some light flashes coming from near us, and not long after that, I heard a sound that I was extremely familiar with.

When I looked at Casimir, he was only grinning and chuckling, and for the first time, he was only grinning and staring at me. I shake my head, though, and focus my gaze more closely to see Auster leading the group.

"I suppose you two ought to get ready before I report.”

“Is it even important to know that?”

"Casimir, you know I wouldn't be here if it weren't."

He said, "I guess so," and then dressed me in his clothes with a snap of his fingers. He said, "Speak," and in the blink of an eye, he was standing in front of Auster with narrowed eyes. Auster did as he was told and spoke.

I just wasn't prepared for the words.
