The Cure III

I can hear voices coming from my ears like the sound of rippling water. I blink three times until all I can feel is the slow beating of my heart's drum speeding up.

I couldn't help squinting when I noticed a pendulum in the distance. It looked to me like a steadily swaying branch of a tree.

I look back at Casimir, who had closed his eyes but had instead gotten closer to my hands. I sigh. He is definitely making things cozy and giving me a sense of security in his grasp, and I couldn't help but see a different aspect of him than I had in the past.

I never imagined, though, that I would be able to hold him closer, stroke his silky hair, see his lovely, clear skin, and smell his aroma from this near.
