Chapter 56 - The ancient is turned into ash.

Viktoria’s POV

With all the new developments that were taking place, I was relieved to note that my father had given up on badgering me about the ancient for a while. I could still feel his presence each time I walked into the library and it had been over six months since the day we tried to get rid of him. The witch had become a permanent resident in the castle and she was also doing her own research to find out if there was any way for us to unlink from his sire line, but I was slowly starting to lose hope. My father wasn’t going to be busy with the new additions forever. The time would come when he would want to try again.

In the meantime, I watched with awe and fear how our son was growing at an alarming rate, which made me happy that I could be with him as much as possible before we tried that damn spell again.
