Chapter 8

After who knew how long, Anderson finally woke up. He was face down in his vomit on the floor. Standing with some difficulty, he felt the same uncomfortable feeling of restriction. He looked around only to be greeted by the same white walls and white straight jacket. He blinked his eyes numerous times as if trying to get out of the illusion he was under, but he knew this was no illusion.

Anderson gradually stood up from the floor, using the help of the bed and his chin. “Calm down Anderson. Calm down.” He comforted himself with deep breaths. No matter what, panicking would not help him now. Although he tried to reassure himself that, he could still feel his body trembling. There was no helping it. After all, one minute he was standing at a hot dirty crossroad, facing the demon with the gold eyes, the next minute he was here.

Had everything been a dream? He had questions, but him being in his current situation would not provide him with any answers. He began
