Chapter 74

SEBASTIAN.

As the Seer listened to Sebastian's question, a sense of confusion washed over him. He knew that something was wrong, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.

"I don't know, my lord," he said, hesitatingly. "Perhaps it is the power of her mind that is causing you to feel this way."

Sebastian's eyes widened in shock at the Seer's words. "Her mind?" he repeated, almost incredulous. "What do you mean?"

But the Seer simply shook his head. "I'm sorry, my lord. It's difficult to explain. But I assure you, it is nothing to worry about."

Sebastian looked unconvinced, but before he could say anything else, the Seer made his excuses and left the room.

As he walked back to his own chambers, the Seer felt a deep sense of anger welling up inside him. How could he have lied like that? How could he have told Sebastian that Hailee was controlling his mind when he knew it wasn't true?
