" How is she doing?" Alden asked a nurse when she came out of the room. It was getting to an hour and she had not heard a baby's sound. His heart almost left his chest. He hoped nothing happened to her.

" Fine, please just relax." She said and walked briskly to god knows where.

Alden paced outside the door for a long time. He looked at his watch, it was another thirty minutes, and he barged into the room.

" You can't be here." A nurse protested and he shot her a withering glare which made her retreat in surrender.

Alden looked at Cisca who was sweating profusely on the bed as she writhed in pain.

" Dr. Bart, what is happening?" He asked.

" She's pushing." He replied and turned to Cisca, " Push!"

Cisca tried all her might to push but nothing was coming out, " I can't." She cried. Exhaustion was written all over her.

Alden was at her side at the instant, he held her hand, " You can, baby, you can." He soothed.

Cisca began to cry, " I can't. I don't want this baby to die."
