AWKWARD MOMENTS

Diana hesitated for a second, staring closely at Simon to confirm her curiosity, there was no doubt; he was the same man that had kissed her when he was drunk some nights ago.

She was standing still, by the side of the taxi door, unsure if she should go on and help him. The Taxi driver didn’t step out of the vehicle, he had to be cautious, kidnappers used different means to lure their victims. He couldn’t trust Simon just yet.

“Don’t just stand there, help me; she’s dying,” Simon called out, he was really tired and frustrated, his hands were heavy; carrying Angelina all through the woods, it wasn’t very easy. Even for a soldier like himself.

Diana gasped and ran towards Simon, she was feeling somewhat awkward, being with him. She wondered if he remembered her or not, well, he wouldn’t; he was totally drunk that day.

She helped him relieve the weight of Angelina on his hands, and they carried her to the back seat of the taxi.
