My heart skipped and my hands started shaking, I felt like I would pass out any minute.

I shook my head. I couldn't be pregnant, not right now. Not with everything happening.

I began to calculate the possibility that I was carrying another human in me at twenty-nine years old and the consequences which were a lot.

I couldn't have a baby!

"Congratulations" Dr. Pat said, still smiling at me.

"This is a prank, isn't it?" I asked as I fisted my hands to get the shakes under control. Doctor Pat's brows creased as she shook her head.

"No, you're really pregnant, aren't you happy about this? I bet Royal will be-"

I immediately interrupted her.

"Don't tell him about this!" I screamed and her eyes widened in surprise. I placed a hand over my chest and leaned against her table to steady myself. Now I might actually be sick.

"Please" I added.
