I didn't think much about Mia saying she'd take care of things because my mind was more occupied with thinking of how I'd get Charles back just like Grace suggested. The pressing question was if Charles was worth what it would cost to get him back and my answer was…yes. I was finally saying yes to him like I should have two years ago and for the first time it felt right like I knew what I was doing.

I just hoped that Charles would take me back for the third time and my chest felt heavy like I would suffocate any minute at the thought that he might not take me back this time.

Mia and Felix had a very beautiful house and accommodated me nicely. Felix was in the living room when we arrived and reading a book.

"We're back in one piece, babe," Mia said as she approached him from behind the couch. He tilted his head and they shared a kiss.

"Pamela, we were worried sick, how are you feeling?" He asked as he rose to his feet and we hugged briefly.
