a distasteful apology

“I submitted it to Miss Riles this morning to go through it and send it to your email”Stella said and gave her a stern look

Really? She was trying to rat out on me, and push the whole blame on my head. Smart move!

“You didn’t submit it at the right time and you told me the meeting was by ten!"I said in defense.

"Look, I don't know what the hell is going on and I don't give a damn either!" Charles roared with his hands forming a fist.

“I’m sorry sir,”Stella said immediately, staring down on the floor.

“Dismissed! Miss Riles follow me to myoffice!”he said harshly. Then he walked away taking heavy steps towards the door.

I looked at Stella who shamefully averted her gaze. She was guilty and I wanted this guilt to eat down the fabrics of her heart. She went really low and I was suddenly reminded of the fact that I should never trust human beings.
