One hundred and twenty-two

Sally's POV

He shook his head, his eyes filled with tears, finally placing all his cards on the table. “No, we're both talking.”

"You're crazy." I pulled my hand out of his. "Impossible."

“Everything is possible now,” He said softly. “The only war you are in right now is with your heart.” He loudly declared under this pouring rain.

I come back. “There is nothing wrong with my heart. I'm completely fine.”

"Are you?" He's making me doubt myself. Is that possible?

My eyes hardened. “How dare you question my feelings?”

“I dare because I care. I care because you are my mate.” His eyes didn't lie when he said that. “And I'm not talking to the howling wolf in my head, I'm here as myself, talking to you. You're my mate for a reason, Sally. My goddess destined you to be mine and I let you go once because of a stupid careless mistake. I regret everything I did to you."

“You can't change who I've become,” I sighed “And how many times do I have to correct that I'm no longer yours.”
