One hundred and twenty eight

Sally's POV

I wanted to trust him because of the confidence he radiated from him, however, I still doubted him. He hurt me once, so what will be different in the future if I try to trust him?

My heart was beating almost uncontrollably, making it hard to breathe. My arms are holding tighter, I just need to calm down. I mean, what is life if you don't try and get it? Also, I can take more risks once or twice.

I guess I'll give this thing between us a chance. I remembered what my grandmother said, soulmates don't come around often.

He seemed confused, perhaps not expecting me to say that or to give in so easily. But I'm tired of fighting everything. I want to find that peace within myself and around me.

And after everything I've been through, I think I finally deserve a little happiness, because you only live once, right?
