Chapter thirty three

I helped Matthew into the house, Mrs. Brown still hadn't eaten yet, so we had dinner with her.

During the meal, everyone did not talk, so the meal ended very quietly. After eating, like last time, Mrs. Brown pulled me out to talk again. Seeing that her son was much healthier, Mrs. Brown's mood was also very happy. From the moment I entered the house until now, I did not see her stop smiling. Even while eating, she looked at us and smiled quietly.

We hadn't been sitting in the living room for long when Mr. Brown returned. Seeing that his son was no longer in a wheelchair, Mr. Brown's reaction was much more agitated than Mrs. Brown's. He immediately used his fastest speed to approach Matthew. When he stood half a foot away from Matthew, he stopped, stood still, and looked at Matthew.

After a while, he asked excitedly. “Do you not need to be in a wheelchair anymore?”

Mr. Brown's eyes were red, looking like he was about to cry.

Contrary to Mr. Brown's emotions, Matthew was very calm.
