I closed the book after I finished it and sighed internally.  

I understood why Leila made a deal with a demon but what she offered it in return is something very precious and heavy. The demon feeds on our misery, the worst kind of misery and we get to have all our luxuries.

I stared at the book. I get a feeling it would have been different if Leila had accepted the demon’s initial offer.

“Oh look who’s here~” I was startled by the sudden entrance of another person and flinched.

I shot my head back at the person, “Uncle?” I stood up from the ground and greeted him.
