"You've found Faye?"

"Yes, Mr Carver. Our sources say she's in Paris."

I breathed in as that piece of information settled in my head. How in the hell had Faye been able to not just leave the States, but go to France?

"Wait, she's in France? How? How did you get this information?" I asked Marshall. His P. I firm was a reputable one I'd hired to keep looking for Faye, as all other options had failed me.

No one around me understood why I kept looking. And I didn't either. I didn't get why I had to keep looking for her. Why I had to find her?

"I'll be there in person to discuss this with you, Sir."he said, and we set up a time to meet.

I hung up the phone and walked away from the desk, going to the door and pulling it open.

I would not be meeting the private investigator here, but in my home.

I wanted to hear all this man had to say, but in a more private space. The pack house just didn't offer me the same comfort it used to.

It was important to me that I close the chapter of m
