Leon looked around wildly. He knew they were going to come for him. He wasn't going to allow that.

Immediately, he turned to Lillith. "Run to the carriage!"

She shook her head. "I won't! You aren't going to make me come with you!"

She grabbed a dagger from one of the men and brought it to her neck. Leon and Lucien stopped immediately. "If this doesn't end right now, I will kill myself and my son! Isn't it enough?"

Leon shook his head. "I can't let you do that, Lillith. I can't."

"But you will watch me do it if you both don't stop!" She screamed. Tears began to pour out of her eyes.

Within a second, he took the dagger from her hand and held it behind him.

He placed a hand on her shoulders. "Please. Just go back to the carriage. I won't harm him."

She stared at him for a while. He sounded really genuine. There was no way she could turn him down after he had been this sincere to her. She had never seen him beg her like this.
