Lillith had seen the look of despair in Leon's eyes when he returned that evening. He had been talking with Lucian when she bumped into them. They immediately stopped talking and Lucian nodded once at her before dismissing himself.

Leon had never smiled at her. Maybe he had in the past, but she had never remembered him smiling at her.

"Is something wrong?" Lillith asked. "I know I shouldn't be prying but you looked really worried,"

"It's not something you should worry about," He said and raked his hand through his hair.

"Are you sure?" She drew close to him. "Because all that has ever been happening is because of me. It's my fault. If I—"

He placed both of his hands on her shoulders and looked at her before shaking his head once. "None of it is your fault, okay? Lucien is just being irrational. He'll soon come around,"

"It's him right? You were talking about him with Lucian? What has he done this time?"
