Amara's POV

I made sure that I wasn't seen a lot of times by Anita. A lot of things occupied her time that she forgot to ask about Sylvia. This gave me the time to meet with the team on how to defeat Anita.

Sylvia has been trying to talk to me for so long but I didn't grant her audience. I was about to serve Anita on this day when I heard her scream at some man. From the look of things, it was as if he didn't fulfill his mission. It was there and then I heard a sword slash something, and a thud followed. I turned back quietly with a tray in hand and life intact. My heart beat loud and fast against my chest.

I summoned courage and I returned to her room, not to arouse her suspicion.

" You sent for me ma'am," I asked.

" Why did you take so long to return here?" she inquired.

" I heard you were a bit busy ma'am, and I didn't want to interrupt," I replied.
