Chapter 102: Meet Me

"What brought you here?!" sarcastic and annoying question from a childhood friend I couldn't remember.

"Rumors say you're my best friend. But not even a tinge of our irritating past poked my mind!" I smirked back. His shoulder had a sling and a cast. He was leaning on the headboard of his bed while he watched the news on TV.

"Good to know. I tell you, you're a trouble. But glad to know you're alive. Where did you hide for one whole year?" he was speaking to me but his eyes were on the screen.

"The Levine Clan hid me~"

"Desmond!" when a crisp joyful voice from a woman startled both of us. I turned around to see who called me and saw an attractive young woman with blonde hair and flawless skin. Probably, she had the same age as Amy Leah.

I was stunned when she suddenly ran toward me and hugged me tight. I glanced over my shoulder to ask who she was but I was rewarded with a furious stare instead.
