Gerald waited until they reached home before he confronted Alicia about the kiss. He was too furious and humiliated at the same time when Alicia caused the scene at Daniella’s house. After their fight, Marcus took Daniella towards the greenhouse, a special place to calm down her raging desire to scratch his eyes. “Can you trust me to deal with Alicia?” He asked before they sat down on a bench that was customized to be placed near her workstation for flower arrangement. “To be honest, I’m not sure if I can trust you with it. Maybe you should just let me handle your affair,” she offered. Just the thought of Daniella confronting or challenging Alicia made him shiver. “Or maybe we should set a date for our wedding to stop Alicia from taking me away from you,” he counteroffered. “Do you think that a wedding ceremony can stop her? Daniella ran towards Lilian’s room and she was surprised to see Philip Madrigal and Edwin Sanchez together with Paloma in the lobby. “Good evening everyone,” she greeted them. “Ella! I’m glad that you’re here! Can you talk with Lilian? The brat refused to see us!” Paloma expressed her frustrations that Lilian didn’t give her the chance to correct her mistake. Her daughter wouldn’t even let her speak even a single word! Daniella nodded and proceed inside. “Lil? Are you awake?” She asked as soon as she closed the door behind her but Lilian didn’t respond right away. It had been days already since she was discharged from the hospital but Lilian continued to be distant from her parents. She was temporarily out of her mind and Alicia scolded herself for losing focus on her ultimate goal to take Marcus away from Daniella. From the window of the inn she was staying, she admired the exquisite view of the countryside. Last night, something terrible almost happened between her and Gerald’s father, and she didn’t know if she had to thank Edwin for being able to control his desire when he kicked her out of his house afterward. “Hello my love,” Daniella greeted the newcomer who was surprised to see her there, calmly sitting in one of the chairs. “Surprise!” She jested, but her eyes shot daggers at the man whom she trusted but only betrayed her! “Dani, it’s not what you think.” Marcus tried to explain that he didn’t visit Alicia for something else but to help her, however, Daniella refused to listen and the way she looked at him – means the end. Daniella read his message but didn’t bother to type a response and turned off her phone in the meantime. She was still confused. In front of her vanity mirror, she took extra caution in applying her make-up, especially when she was doing her eyes.
