Chapter 5 - Little Thief

The man immediately paid for the coffee he had ordered and then turned away from her without saying anything. She left me speechless. Sorry for what? Suddenly, she realized she still hadn't handed him his change. She got up quickly, hurried outside after the man, and gave him the change. When she saw him, he was already on his motorcycle and wearing his helmet.

She dashed forward to get closer to the man and called him, "Hey, Sir!"

It glanced at her.

She was about to say, "You left your change," when suddenly she stumbled over her foot, and the next thing she knew, the pavement floor had caught her. She cried out in pain, "Ouch!" and staggered to her feet.

"Min Dam, are you okay?" the man rushed over to her and helped her stand.

She still managed to hand him his money. What a pain!

Why was she chasing him to begin with? They're not even playing chase. This man can use his card, so why the hell did he use cash instead? Argh. I hate it! It’s so embarrassing.

"What makes you hurry?" Though initially confused, the man eventually understood what she was saying.

"You’re money!" She grinned sourly at him. But instead of saying ‘thank you,’ he let out a loud laugh.

The man's actions caused her to raise an eyebrow. Except for the embarrassment she felt, this man just laughed at her. So annoying!

But he blocked her path as soon as she hurriedly turned around.

Hey, I'm sorry, I couldn't stop myself. You look so cute," The man became serious and fixed his gaze on her. "Take that change, Min Dam."

"But why?"

"I'll be your regular customer from now on. You can consider it a tip from me for the delicious coffee.

"But you never drank the coffee you ordered!"

"Oh, I didn't? My bad." He chuckled and scratched his chin. "But still took it as a tip."

"Oh, right. Well, thank you." 98 dollars ba naman ang tip? Nababaliw na siya.

Is there a 98-dollar tip? He's losing his mind. She just nodded and walked away from him, pretending she hadn't been in a state of shame a moment earlier.

"Here, I'll help you, Min Dam." She was taken aback when the man picked her up and cradled her in his arms like a baby. He rushed through the shop with her, carefully placing her on one of the chairs before leaving. The man waved goodbye and then walked away, leaving her speechless.

Hera and Trixie were overjoyed and screamed. It's a good thing they don't have any customers at the time; otherwise, she'll be even more embarrassed.

"Girl, you are so lovely that your radiance can be seen as far as the Philippines. You should have told me he left his change so I could chase him down and pretend to trip. My gosh! My gallbladder is twitterpated!

She almost smacked Hera with a broom. They’re spurting nonsense!

"How to be you, girl?! First, King Henrik kissed you, and now he carries you. Is this the sign of a second coming? Is the world ending? I'm so thrilled that I really need to pee! You’re a one lucky girl!" Trixie tickled her once more before leaving to use the bathroom.

She just shook her head and ignored them. Lucky? Nah!

She was unlucky, to say the least. A while back, the man gave her the name Min Dam. She looked it up on G****e and wrinkled her face when she saw that it meant ‘My Lady.’ Instead of feeling amazed, she just rolled her eyes.

THAT EVENING, she headed towards the bus stop. Just one bus ride will be needed for her to reach her house and her bed and pillow. But when someone grabbed her purse and rushed away from her, she screamed. Her fare money was there, as was her phone, which she had borrowed from Sheena. No way!

She didn't care if she was a girl or not; she chased the thief!

"Give me back my bag, thief!"

"Then take it, bitch."

People were looking at her, but no one helped her. The thief moved to the opposite lane in a hurry, but before she could catch up with her, a loud car's horn halted her, making the thief actually disappear.

"Jeez! It makes me angry!" She wanted to cry, but she stopped herself from doing that. She's too beautiful to cry! The fact that she was walking along the street without any money made her the unluckiest of the unfortunate souls. She knew how to get home, but it was too far away, and she had no choice but to walk.

She placed her hands in her hoodies' pockets when someone placed their arm around her shoulders. At first glance, the two men look like rapists. Oh, right! She was not in the Philippines, and her face looks foreign to these people.

"Hey babe, I notice you're by yourself. Come join us in bed, sweetie. Threesome, like to try?"

Ew! What did they think of her? An easy-to-get girl who will go with perverts? Because of what the man said, she was unable to control how her hands were moving, so she smacked one of the men hard and elbowed the other. Then run! No one was able to make her feel afraid.

Is that so?

Her left brain mockingly teased her.

While the two ugly, minion-looking males chased her, she looked like an athlete who got into the Olympics because she ran too fast. There is no way that she will let them do what they want.

It's already 11 in the evening, so she ran faster. Jeez! Those obnoxious bastards were really close to her, and she was panting her life away. Even though she isn't easily scared, she is still a girl.In front of the expensive restaurants that were still open, she stopped suddenly. She had no choice but to hide in the cars that were parked in front of the restaurant. At least, she will not get caught easily.

Are these only tests, Lord? Or am I just so unlucky?

"Let's go find that slut!"

"Yeah, she's pretty gorgeous and hot to be in my bed."

Like I let you jerks have me? I'd rather die, you moron!

There, she noticed a car nearby that was open since the owner was grabbing stuff from the back compartment while on the phone. Perfect! She cast a quick peek at those two perverts who were still on the lookout for her. Without thinking twice, she slid into the passenger seat and bowed her head.

"Damn that slut!"

She overheard one of them curse her. Well, after all, she's not a slut! She grimaced and rolled her eyes. If she could only punch the man in the face. She peered out the window, and even though she knew the car window was tinted, she needed to be cautious. She was startled when the owner got into the car, and she was even more shocked when she recognized him.

"You, you little thief—"
