CHAPTER 26 (HUNGER AND BOREDOM)

ANNA'S POV

I was bored. I had nothing to do except sit on my bed and think.

The Alpha had sent one of the maids with an invitation for a proposed shopping trip for me but I had declined. Even though I had been tempted, I had to remind myself that I was not here for such frivolities and I had to keep myself focused lest I end up being played by my prey.

But I was starting to regret my refusal as I was slowly starting to lose my mind being alone in the room. Back home, I was never idle. Hunger had given us no time to be.

'Where could he have gone to?' I heard the familiar voice of my wolf ask inside my head.

"You keep on asking me questions as if I am some type of seer," I answered her with an eye roll.

My wolf and I had a very sarcastic relationship that kept our connection strong and spontaneous. We indeed were a perfect description of two peas in a pod.
