Even though the playground isn't equipped with swings or slides, it's nonetheless entertaining. Yes, it is. Not for me, though. or any other typical human being, really.

It is situated approximately twenty minutes to the southwest of Darius's apartment complex. It is sufficiently removed from the busy streets that the sounds of traffic and sirens are reduced to a faint hum in the distance.

The first time Darius took me there, he informed me, "It's five acres, baby." To show me his little corner of calm in the city, not annoy me. somewhere that nourished his inner wolf.

Alright.

He must have thought I had gone blind because he grinned, clasped my hand, and planted a kiss on the back before stating, "About four football fields."

I found out later that the playground was a waste of expensive prime real estate, costing upwards of five million dollars, according to the realtors he and his lawyers were always battling. That kind of land should be used to develop high-rises and condom
