"Everybody, just stay calm. Let's see what it's up to," Dimitri added. So I stood firm and let it make its move.

With a little more effort, it got closer and closer and closer...

"Maybe we should run!"

"Maddox, I didn't take you for a pussy."

"Grrrr-hello."

"It speaks," Carson was fascinated.

I paused and watched as it stopped in front of us. It was rocking side to side, grinning while she examined me.

"Hi," I said cautiously.

"Don't worry, werewolf meat isn't appealing to me at all," she laughed.

"You talk, but you're a zombie," I was obviously surprised. Our pack had never come across zombies before. Most of them believed that they were a myth, but Zander's dad, the late Alpha Zachery still made sure the members were taught how to defend themselves against the creatures, in case they were real.

"Yes, I only go full-on Zombie when I haven't eaten in a long while," she explained. "I'm Misty by the way," she stretched her hand for me to shake.

"Don't do it, Declan," Maddox warned
