Harriet's Pov

I was pissed off by the man's insolent attitude, I heaved a sigh of relief as we left the shop, no one recognized me and that was pure luck, I don't respond to rude people but something stirred a justified anger in me when he called Nelson fatherless, Nelson had a responsible and good-looking father, he was a child but it didn't authorize the bastard to insult him.

Nelson was oblivious of the happenings around him and I was grateful for that, it would be traumatic to the little boy if he has a memory of someone taunting him, life was already unfair to him by taking away his mother prematurely, I wasn't planning on adding to that.
