Harriet's POV

There he was, with both hands in his pocket and Nelson wasn't with him. What should I say to him? I know he was angry because I mentioned his dead wife. I could see how much he had loved that woman. I should have known it would hurt him to talk about her. I knew he deserved an apology.

"I apologize for mentioning your wife. I shouldn't have. It was just curiosity," I said with guilt in my heart.

Could I have told Tyler that I was jealous of the dead woman? She's the reason I have such a handsome man beside me and also a very cute smart boy.

"No Harriet, I should be the one to be sorry about what happened inside. Trust me, I didn't intentionally kept quiet. I couldn't say anything because… Ivory was a horrible cook and she's always afraid of the kitchen. Also, all the dishes I've prepared were her favorite."

He looked so sad saying that and I pitied him but something made me uneasy. This Ivory can't cook, I can't too. I'm damn scared of the kitchen, so is that
