chapter 6

Selena Pov

"How dare you?!"A voice suddenly growled at me, immediately I turned to take a look at the person that growled, possibly won't be the alpha but damn! I was wrong.

The Alpha's furious eyes kept scanning me repeatedly,I couldn't move any further as my feet froze at a spot.

"Alpha it wasn't what you think!!!'.I begged him as I knelt down immediately,I literally wished he would spare me this time.My hands were shaking as I felt a shiver ran down my spine,but he didn't say a word and he came closer to where I knelt.

The guard behind him was unmoved,his eyes filled with brutality, none of the pack members loved the slaves, not even the ants.

"Who sent you here and why!!".The alpha yelled,this time he stooped so low that the proximity between our faces wasn't much.

"I was lost, alpha " I explained, despite knowing within myself that I lied,tears couldn't stop running down my cheeks as I swallowed hard.

"And?!"he asked.I knew he needed more answers,but I couldn't bring myself to punishment by saying what I saw. Everybody in the pack is too scared of the alpha.

"And that was it, my alpha".I replied,my gaze still fixed on the floor, resting my hands on my thighs as I knelt.

"And you think I would believe you?".He asked as he let out a loud laughter hysterically.

My heart jumped into my stomach as his words hit my ear walls.I felt my legs and hands trembling, with courage which I really don't know where it came from,I raised my gaze to the alpha.

"I will never lie to you, alpha" .I said to him,but a faint smirk appeared on his lips as he nodded his head.

"The books are scattered" .He said as he pointed at the books in the shelves,I turned my gaze to the shelves immediately as I was wondering if I had misplaced any of the books,but it was all intact.

"The books are all intact".I said my voice shaking,I felt the fear that has left me returning back to me in full force.

"This isn't the place for slaves but you choose to cross the boundary, and you will be punished for it!".He yelled,his voice echoing through the room,it was obvious in his face that he literally wants to devour me at the moment.

I felt the blood in my veins paused the moment he said "PUNISH".It paused all the functioning organs in me,my breath was not left out.I clutched my hands tightly to my chest and looked at the alpha with teary eyes.

"Al….pha…..".He already knew I was about pleading with him to spare me,but he cut in-between.

"Your pleadings will only irritate me"he warned,his voice cold and stern,it was filled with the alpha tone.Commanding.

I couldn't utter a word as I fixed my gaze on him,my eyes were blurry but I used the back of my hands to wipe off the tears in my eyes each time it became too blurry.

The alpha walked towards the bookshelves and skipped through the books quickly,my heart beating thrice of its normal beatings.

"Take her to the dungeons!".He roared and cleaned his fists tightly.My widened in alarm as I immediately stood to my feet,hot tears running down my cheeks.

"Alpha please believe me……..I couldn't lie to you".I tried to explain but my explanation was futile when the guard who had been standing at the doorstep walked towards me and forcefully grabbed my wrist.

I struggled to free myself from him,but my strength was no match to his, werewolves have supernatural strength anyways.

My hands were finally bound in the chains as the guard forcefully pushed me towards the door not minding if I would fall or not.

Just as we were about to step out of the room,I saw Luna running towards the guard and I.

I felt my urine dropping on my panties,I was wondering what would make Luna run.A few seconds later she got to where we were and walked towards the alpha who was standing a few meters away from us.

"I sent her to the library".She said to the alpha,as she pants heavily probably because she had run earlier.

I felt goosebumps all over my body,my mind spooning on the reasons why Luna would come to my rescue, endangering her life before the alpha.

The alpha is a beast who kills anytime and anywhere he feels like,he is above everyone in the pack including the queen mother.

"You went against my rules???!!!".The alpha growled at Luna who went on her knees immediately to apologize to the alpha,she stared at the alpha with her teary eyes.I saw her tears flow freely to her cheek.

"I'm so sorry my alpha,I deserve all the punishment".She pleaded to the alpha as she swallowed hard,I only told her I needed books to read".

Luna lied again on my behalf,it felt like a dream because this was the first time someone literally stood up for me, defending me like she did.

I looked at the Alpha but only saw a monster ready to devour those who had gone against his orders.I averted my eyes and fixed my gaze to the floor,my and feets trembling.

"You'll be punished for this!!".The alpha yelled at Luna , whom I'm yet to know her name.But there was no response from her.

The Alpha hastily walked towards me,each step he took towards me made me realize how doomed I was.

"You'll be locked in the dungeon".He said to me,his voice cold and stern,I dared not to lift an eyelid because I already knew what was kept for me.

"You'll have to lock me up too!!!".Luna yelled from behind the alpha,stood to her feet,walked towards the alpha and continued.

"I'm ready to accept any punishment because I deserve it,but please let her be,selena is innocent"

At this point her voice was louder, silence echoed through the room, confusion was written on the alpha's face then suddenly he made up his mind.

"Lock them up in the dungeon, giving food or water to them will only attract severe punishment".The alpha said to the guard who has been standing at the door step.He made way for the alpha as he approached the entrance door with his bowed low.

I threw my gaze at Luna, whom I noticed was staring at me.I bowed my head immediately,my heart beating just like a drum.I really wanted to ask her why she chooses to be punished for crimes she knows nothing about,but I couldn't find the courage to question her.

Another guard came in with chains,and seconds later Luna's wrist was bound in chains just like mine.

The only difference was that she never struggled like I did,she wholeheartedly accepted the chains to her wrist.

The guard who had been standing by the doorstep forcefully kicked me towards the door and I winced in pain.

"Don't ever dare to touch her again!!!".
