Chapter 63: Painful Departure; A Different Kinda Goodbye.

Liam's POV

“Is she crying?!” I whispered beneath my breath.

She noticed I was gawking at her and tried her best to not keep an eye contact. Even at that, I stole glances at her occasionally. One thing was certain, she wasn't just in a bad mood, but she might be sick or angry.

“Why is she crying?” I couldn't stay out of her business and turn a blind eye to her predicament.

It was hard staying put in my seat, and restricted to my side of the office when Jasmine seemed to be in a terrible state. It was about three minutes ago when she barged in and couldn't keep eye contact with me. And next, she began to sniffle occasionally.

“It’s none of your business,” I told myself silently. My too-caring-to-a-fault brain needed to hear those words a thousand and one times. She had said that to my face when we fell out recently, I didn't need any reminder to stay off her toes.
