Book 2: Chapter 10-Improvement

Sunshine woke up alone in the room. Now, she can feel the pain in her entire body, especially in between her thighs. It was already dark in her surroundings and her parents must have come home a while ago. When she looked at the clock, it was nine o’clock at night. She decided to go out and she’s feeling hungry.

“You’re now awake, daughter. Adrian had the maid cook something before leaving earlier to make you feel better,” Ben greeted his daughter before calling the maid.

Sunshine shyly looked away from her father. She wasn’t sure what Adrian told her father and that he said she was feeling unwell.

“Why did you get drunk?”

Sunshine breathed a sigh of relief and her father knew there was a different reason behind her bad feeling. “Did Adrian leave a while ago?”

Ben smiled even though his daughter’s answer to his question was far away. “He has to go back to the hospital to visit his mother.”
