Book 2: Chapter 17-Woried

Divina annoyingly put her cellphone back in her bag when Cyril didn’t answer her call. She doesn’t know where he is now because he can’t be caught. The young man has not been like this in recent years. She only noticed that he didn’t care about her anymore, since he had a case to handle.

“C’mon, Divina, can you please stop bothering me? I don’t know where my friend is now.” Jacob seems to be running out of patience with the woman who pursues his friend even though they are not in a relationship.

“I don’t believe it. I know he tells you especially important things.” He even glared at the young man.

“I am Cyril’s friend and not his wife, Miss.”

Divina was only annoyed because of the young man’s philosophizing. Before, whenever she was asking him, she knew that he knew something.

Jacob shook his head at the woman’s action. She’s acting as if she is the wife the way she was looking for Cyril.

“Excuse me, Sergeant, we have to leave.”

Jacob secretly thanked the staff who disturbed him.
