Book 2: Chapter 3-Agreement

ADRIAN could freely observe the woman who was talking to his cousin, Tristan. He was now in the parking area of the building where the girl was studying. He didn’t know how the two became close. He’s been gone for just over two years and it looks like there’s been a big change in the woman he’s destined to marry. Adrian leaned his back against the back of the seat. He remembered why he agreed to his father’s foolishness— two years ago.

“I am old and you are my only son.”

“But I don’t plan on getting married early, Dad!”

“Granchild is all I need. You can break up after two years if there is no love between the two of you.”

Adrian thought, with his father’s attitude, he knew he would still find a way even if he didn’t agree. “What’s in return?” he replied instead.

A beautiful smile formed on his father’s lips before answering, “I will let you take whatever course you want and you can do whatever you want to do in your life, as long as what you do does not damage our name.”
